The right rear wheel of my 1986 Isuzu Trooper II showing the maximum height of the Fran's storm surge. Photo taken at approximately 8:45 PM EDT in my Mother's backyard in Carolina Beach, NC. The water reached the top of the Trooper's wheel hub ( about 1.5 ft off the ground ) and the elevation where it was park was above 9 ft. above Mean Sea Level. Using this information I calculated the storm surge was somewhere around 10.5 ft above Sea Level at Carolina Beach, NC
